Sunshower B.V. is a Dutch company. It was established by two Delft engineers, Oscar Meijer and Merijn Wegdam. The company develops Health & Wellness products for bathroom use. The Sunshower is a sunbed with built-in UV (and infrared) lamps, which is installed in the shower.

Sunshower is available in a number of models: as a kit model for existing shower areas or as a built-in unit for new bathrooms. The private market is served via exclusive bathroom retailers. The Sunshower is also applied in recreation parks, hotels, bungalow parks, fitness clubs and health centres, which focus on wellness.   

AWARDS

The founders have garnered a host of awards with the Sunshower over the years. In 2003 they won the ‘New Venture’ entrepreneur competition. In 2005 the Sunshower Deluxe was nominated as a finalist for the Industry Award Bathroom & Kitchens in London. In 2006 the founders won the Best Bathroom Product Award at the KBIS in Chicago with the Sunshower Deluxe. In 2006 the entrepreneurs also took the Sprout Business Boost Award with their growth plan.
