The UV light from the Sunshower has the same effects as sunlight. The most important positive effect of sunlight is the skin’s natural creation of vitamin D. The greatest danger of sunlight is burning through excessive exposure. Because the Sunshower emits a low dose of UV, which is only used briefly, the possibility of burning is minimal.

Vitamin D produces increased resistance, strong bones and a fit feeling. A quarter of an hour in the sun daily is often enough to achieve the required quantity of vitamin D. In the winter months many people experience a shortage of vitamin D because they lack this daily dose of sunlight. This reduces human resistance and opens the way to colds, flu and the winter blues. A healthy vitamin D level is important to build up good resistance. Dermatologists emphasise that becoming accustomed to the sun gradually is important.
